[ The must see tea place in Paris]
Okay there is more than one tea place you must visit while you’re strolling the streets of Paris. But I just loved this one a lot. The vibe in the store, the packaging design, the amazing pure teas & the qualified employees, all in a to me perfect setting. When you enter the store it feels like you enter a place of quit/zen, holding onto ancient rituals, very pure and very Japanese. (as far as i can judge of course.)
We tried 2 teas, which we ended up bringing home, a very nice sencha flavoured with yuzu & a gyokuro misho. I am a long time fan of the yuzu fruit and I always have to try something when it has a yuzu flavour, from ice-cream to cakes, to tea. I was truly surprise about the combination and the way the flavour of the fresh sencha works well together with the citrus/flower flavour of the yuzu. Very inspiring to taste & more lovely to bring home to enjoy the tea once more.
We also brought home a love tea dessert cup, which we will have to fight over whom is allowed to drink tea from this cup tonight or any other night. Yeah we’re not so good in sharing when it comes to tea. You will no doubt soon see the cup and plate featured in one of our photos for this blog.
Thanks to the lovely staff for their time in letting us experience the Japanese tea ceremony & sharing their knowledge on tea with us.
