[ Making jam from the apricots & plums from my parents garden]
It has been a bit quit on my blog lately, due to many different reasons. First busy with work, second my own secret plans and third my parents are moving home to South-Africa. Next week I will have updates & new recipes for pumpkin burgers, fruity ice cream & a new salad. Yum!
For the jams I made I used different measurements for the sugar & pectin. I even experimented with jam without sugar, in this case I added in honey and nothing else. It’s easier to do this with apricots since the consistency of apricot jam is much thicker by itself than for example plum jam.
I unfortunately can’t share my recipe since I lots my notes & there are no apricots left from my parents garden to recreate the jam. Next week I will make some jam with the green plums that are waiting for me in the fridge to use, I will experiment with agar agar and honey again. Hopefully I won’t loose my notes this time ^_^
Have a great weekend.
P.S. I love using fruits from my parents garden, since they pure fruit, nothing added, no chemicals & no pesticides. That is why the plums & apricots have funny shapes, sizes, spots & sometimes worms on them.
